Join us for a mouthwatering benefit concert featuring music inspired by food! Bon Appétit! by American composer Lee Hoiby celebrates Julia Child's famous chocolate cake recipe sung (and baked on stage) by mezzo-soprano Samantha Malk with woodwind quintet and piano accompaniment. This concert will satiate the palate with other hors d'oeuvres and musical treats, such as György Ligeti's 6 Bagatelles. (Bagatelles are a French dessert...) Light appetizers, desserts and an open bar will be served during the performance. All of the proceeds from this high calorie event will support our 2017-18 concerts and educational programs.
